About Betsy TeetorBetsy Teetor began riding in 1988 at the age of five and was showing shortly after that with her first pony. She eventually moved from ponies to horses and continued showing all over Michigan and the Midwest. Betsy competed and excelled in all three rings: Hunter, Jumper, and Equitation. She showed heavily throughout the Midwest all her junior years and was highly competitive. She qualified for and competed at USEF Medal Finals every junior year starting at age 12. Each year she accumulated numerous year-end awards for the Michigan Hunter Jumper Association, the Hunter Jumper Association of Michigan, and USEF Zone Five.
Betsy attended Hillsdale College where she was fundamental in starting the Hillsdale College Equestrian Team. Competing in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association, she won high-point rider multiple times. In 2004 she qualified for IHSA Nationals where she was top 10 overall. After graduating from college Betsy moved to Zionsville, Indiana where she was the assistant trainer at a competitive show barn. During her time there her expertise took many young riders from their first lessons to success at shows. Students were competitive at large USEF A shows all over the Midwest, and qualified and competed at USEF Pony Finals. She also successfully competed many horses herself. 2014 brought Betsy back to Michigan to continue training elite hunter/jumper riders and horses. Contact Betsy:
